NASA SPoRT Disaster Response. Short-term Prediction Research and Transition Center SPoRT is a NASA project to transition unique observations and research capabilities to the operational weather community to improve short-term forecasts on a regional scale. The Disasters area supports projects to enhance management practices and disaster reduction across disaster types, including floods, earthquakes, volcanoes, and landslides. Disaster applications and applied research on natural hazards support emergency preparedness leaders in developing mitigation approaches, such as early warning systems, and.

DataLynx, Universal Space Network, and Konsburg-Lockheed Martin were put under contract to provide data. The proportion of commercial Earth stations that support NASA missions rose to 33 percent. These service providers are making investments to establish the network, a cost that NASA avoids. management, and disaster preparedness. Further, because of industry outsourcing, public-private partnerships, and other arrangements, I&E geospatial data are also shared with commercial entities to conduct infrastructure management. Finally, we also found that DoD organi-zations have a need to share with universities, nongovernmental organi-.
